Our Approach

To Grow, Empower, & Educate the Youth of our Nation

starting with our local community
01.

— Our Mission

The mission of the RRL Junior Indians is to create a league with the purpose to instruct youth in the skills of Football and Cheerleading; where they can play, have fun, and make friends without any fear of discrimination; and where all participating organizations have a set of rules so they have a sense of fair play. Our vision is to serve as a catalyst for stimulating Football and Cheerleading in the Roscoe-Rockton and surrounding communities; to play a major role in teaching fundamentals, skills, proficiency, teamwork, regardless of race, color, creed, age. religion or gender.

The purpose of RRL Junior Indians Football & Cheer is to provide an understanding of the game of football and encourage sportsmanship and character in the game and life.  Our vision is to teach the fundamentals and rules in addition to the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the game.  We are committed to encouraging a balance of football, family, school, and fun.

03.

— Our Goal

Our goal is that the athlete will understand how football and cheer promotes and develops positive life qualities and skills such as team, respect, discipline, effort, perseverance and fitness.

President Message

The Roscoe-Rockton Junior Indians (aka RRL Jr. Indians) Junior Tackle Football Program has grown and improved during its nearly 40 year history because of the many dedicated people (parents, board members, coaches, and volunteers) who have willingly volunteered countless hours of their time, energy, and efforts. The Board/Coordinators are in place and meeting year-round to ensure our program takes another step forward.

The Jr Indians are proud members in good standing of the Northern Illinois Football Conference (NIFC) .  With that said, we have room for improvement and we will do so with your help.  One of the keys to building and maintaining a successful program is to have a strong base.  It is very rewarding to be at practice and game days and see entire families participating and pitching in to help.  The Lions are proud to be a family of nearly 500 players & cheerleaders, year after year.

The goal of the Roscoe Rockton Junior Indians is to provide an understanding of the game of football and Cheer, as well as encourage sportsmanship and character in the game and in life. Our mission is to teach everyone the fundamentals and rules in addition to the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of the game. We are committed to encouraging a balance of football, cheer, family, school and fun. Our goal is that each athlete will understand how football and cheer promote and develop positive life qualities such as team, respect, discipline, effort, perseverance and fitness.

I hope you will find our website Roscoe Rockton Jr. Indians Jr. Tackle, Inc both informative and user friendly. On behalf of the Jr. Indians Board, Coordinators and Coaches, I would like to thank all our players and parents for a wonderful season.  I would also like to reiterate our commitment to all that we will continue striving to improve our football/cheer programs, to ensure we allow our ‘family’ to continue for another 40 years!

Andy West
